Central Texas Flood Relief: How Our Community Is Coming Together

Over the past week, many of our Central Texas neighbors have been impacted by devastating floods that have taken a toll on families, homes, and entire communities. While the destruction has been heartbreaking, what’s even more powerful is the way our community is coming together—showing just how strong, compassionate, and united Central Texans truly are.

As a local real estate broker and long-time resident of the Buda–Kyle–Austin area, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible efforts being made by local businesses to support those affected. Many of us are wondering how we can help—and this week, the answer might be as simple as grabbing a bite to eat or stopping in for a coffee.

🍽️ Local Austin-Area Restaurants Giving Back

Several Austin-area restaurants and food businesses are donating profits—some even 100%—to flood relief efforts throughout this week. Here are just a few highlights:

📅 July 10 (Thursday)

  • P. Terry’s – All profits from all 36 locations are going to the Austin Disaster Relief Network.

  • Veracruz All Natural – 100% of profits benefit Kerr County Flood Relief.

  • Kerbey Lane Cafe – Proceeds from all 10 locations are donated to the relief fund.

  • Kinfolk & Moonshine Austin – Profits support the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

📅 July 12-13 (Saturday & Sunday)

  • Juiceland – Donating all net proceeds to flood recovery efforts.

  • Central Machine Works – $1 from each pretzel, lager, and frozen cocktail sale will support relief.

  • Coffee and Chill Austin – Hosting a “Gathering for Good” on Saturday morning with all ticket sales supporting relief funds.

  • Guy + Larry Restaurants – Including favorites like ATX Cocina, Red Ash, and Roaring Fork, all sales on Sunday will support the Texas Hill Country Relief.

📅 Now through July 14

  • Mernin’ Coffee Company – Donating all profits through the 14th.

  • Sour Duck Market – Proceeds from chicken sandwiches, cookies, and more go to relief efforts, with Mezcal Amaras matching donations.

  • Kurty’s Cookies – Giving 20% of weekly sales.

This is just a small portion of the amazing giving spirit being shown throughout Austin and Hays County. Whether you’re picking up lunch, meeting a friend for dinner, or ordering dessert—your meal could make a difference.

🙏 Let’s Lift Each Other Up

In times like these, we’re reminded that a home is more than a structure—it’s a safe place, a sense of belonging, and a piece of community. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by these floods, and if you or someone you know is navigating damage to their home or needs help understanding their housing options, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We all have a role to play in rebuilding and supporting our neighbors. Whether it’s donating, volunteering, or simply supporting a local business giving back—every action matters
